Identifying sustainable electrification solutions
Our Congo Epela platform serves as a comprehensive repository of data on Congo’s energy sources, electricity demand, current electrification rates and affordable, clean, and local electrification solutions.
Contribute to the national debate on electrification solutions
Resource Matters facilitates meetings of the Core Group, a multi-stakeholder body of 15 experts, to discuss electrification pathways for the DR Congo.
Support civil society action in its call for sustainable electrification
Resource Matters collaborates with the Mwangaza network, a coalition of civil society organizations dedicated to advocating for sustainable and affordable electrification across the DRC while promoting responsible governance within the energy sector.
Encouraging electrification solutions thanks to local mining tax revenue
The Mining-Energy Nexus project supports Local Government Entities (ETDs) in using mining royalties to finance people-centered electrification projects.
Install solar equipment on public rooftops
Resource Matters helps public institutions in reducing their dependency on an unreliable grid by modeling solar installations for the rooftop of their buildings.
