Anti-corruption Officer
Lewis Yola is Anti-Corruption Officer at Resource Matters, where he contributes to the organisation’s research, analysis and advocacy to strengthen transparency and accountability in the management of natural resources in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Before joining Resource Matters, Lewis was actively involved in documenting and exposing corruption risks in the extractive sector, particularly through the coalition The Congo Is Not for Sale Coalition. In this capacity, he contributed to research and analysis highlighting corruption risks in the tendering process for several oil and gas blocks in the DRC. Alongside this work, he has been engaged in grassroots civic activism through the Lutte pour le Changement, participating in campaigns promoting citizen oversight of public authorities.
Lewis holds a degree in Petroleum Economics from the University of Kinshasa. He brings to the team a combination of strong interest in technical analysis, data and numbers with a deep commitment to grassroots activism and economic justice in the governance of natural resources.
