The ongoing expansion of mining activities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is driving the displacement of many households. The Katanga region, rich in copper and cobalt, is also heavily affected by this practice. Some communities are being relocated, while others are still waiting as new mineral deposits are discovered. Affected communities often demand fair compensation and greater adherence to legal procedures.
