OECD 2024: Assess risks in your cobalt supply chain

At the 2024 OECD Forum on mineral supply chains, Resource Matters and its partners called upon cobalt buyers to assess the risks in their supply chain and to engage with local communities.

Read our note

The first challenge facing a company that uses cobalt is tracking its journey from the mine to the factory. In recent years, many downstream companies have noted that the cobalt supply chain is long and complex.

This is why Resource Matters has conducted extensive research over the past few years to document transactions throughout the supply chain, relying primarily on media and stock exchange announcements from the companies involved.

With more than 280 companies listed, Resource Matters’ Cobalt Supply Chain is an essential tool for conducting due diligence in the cobalt sector.

Resource Matters sent more than 370 letters to the companies in question to request comments and corrections.

We welcome any suggestions for improvement at info@resourcematters.org.
