DRC Director Jimmy Munguriek presented Resource Matters’ White paper on local value addition, which is the result of an in-depth analysis of the conditions necessary for the local processing of strategic minerals in the DRC. This white paper outlines the obstacles, opportunities, and practical guidelines for effective value addition.
Three minerals were identified and analyzed: copper, cobalt, and lithium. This white paper represents a step toward a national strategy for minerals related to the energy transition in the DRC.
