Ana Binuya
Researcher
Ana Marie Binuya is Lead Researcher at Resource Matters, where she manages the organisation’s data platforms on electrification and mining, including Congo Epela, Supply Chains, and Makuta Ya Maendeleo. Her work focuses on electrification scenario modelling and data-driven analysis to support research and policy engagement on energy access and mining governance in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Before joining Resource Matters, Ana worked in the Philippines in research and technical roles related to mining, environmental management and disaster resilience. She served as a Science Research Specialist at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ Mines and Geosciences Bureau and previously worked as an Information Management Officer with the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation, supporting data collection and analysis for disaster response and resilience initiatives.
Ana holds an MSc in Sustainable Development from KU Leuven and a BSc in Geology from the University of the Philippines Diliman.
