Electricity Core Group

Resource Matters collaborates with government agencies, private institutions, and civil society to explore how the Congo’s energy potential can be harnessed to expand access to electricity.

To this end, the Core Group was launched and has been supported by Resource Matters since 2021. Its members contribute to the quality of data used in electrification modeling efforts through their perse expertise and knowledge.

The Core Group also plays a key role in ensuring that these modeling efforts reflect on-the-ground realities and can be more easily adopted by various institutions working in the electricity sector.

The Core Group is composed of experts from the following institutions:

  • ANSER – National Agency for Electrification and Energy Services in Rural and Peri-Urban Areas (public sector)

  • CNE – National Energy Commission (public sector)
  • CORAP – Coalition of Civil Society Organizations for Monitoring Reforms and Public Action (civil society)
